Shanna Knight graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2013 with a focus on both Native American Law and Environmental and Natural Resources Law. She is admitted to the Idaho State Bar as well as the U.S. District Court in Idaho. Before joining the team at Anderson Indian Law, she worked as a legal extern and then legal researcher on property, natural resources, environmental, jurisdictional, tax, and human resources issues affecting the Nez Perce Tribe in Idaho. While in law school she worked on various water law issues, including scenario development for the Columbia River 2014 U.S.-Canada Treaty Review.
Shaun Deschene is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law (J.D. 2007) and Stanford University (B.A. 1996). Prior to law school, Ms. Deschene worked with California Indian Legal Services, the Gila River Indian Community, and as an extern for United States Federal Court Judge Roll. Following law school, Ms. Deschene served as the Executive Director of the Native Lands Institute and Deschene Consulting. She is a member of the Arizona State Bar, the Navajo Nation Bar and the Round Valley Indian Tribes Tribal Court. Ms. Deschene is a member of the Turtle Mountain Chippewa Tribe.
